Welcome to The Kitchen!

Rachel (in the middle)

Welcome to The Druid's Kitchen. As this is my first blog post, I thought I would tell you a bit about me and the business.

I'm Rachel and I am currently studying at the Ovate level of druidry. I am self teaching and taking my time. This is my second year at this level and I plan to stay for a while longer and may actually never move on to the final stage.

I love working with herbs and essential oils to help people with skin conditions as well as other issues, but skin conditions seems to be where I have skills. I started by making soaps and creams for family and friends and this turned into a business with safety assessed products!

I currently have 16 soap recipes with CPSRs (Cosmetic Product Safety Reports) and a range of 8 pulse points. I am working on shampoo bars as we speak as well as bubble bath, liquid shampoo and an overnight cream.

All of my home fragrance products are CLP compliant and I am registered with Trading Standards; receiving an annual visit to check my scales and labelling.

The Druid's Kitchen was a step I had to take after realising that myself and my business partner had different ideas about where we wanted to take the business we were both invested in. I dissolved the partnership and founded my baby.

I still work with Moth and you will find some of her products in the shop too.

Part of my ethos as a small business is to support other small enterprises by showcasing and sometimes selling their makes and wares. This is where the Druid's Pantry comes into its own, but I will tell you more about that at a later date.

I look forward to sharing with you again soon
