The Morrigan's Path. Skulls and Roses.
This skulls and roses loaf slice soap is a gorgeous activated charcoal soap made by hand and decorated with skulls and roses. The loaf is made and the embellishments are added both before and after the cut.
This was designed as a facial soap and may help to reduce signs of acne and spots. It is also ideal for mechanics, engineers and gardeners as a hand soap. I discovered this when my husband (a tree surgeon) had a job with a particularly sticky conifer. The charcoal and clay combined were enough to make removing this normally stubborn mess with ease.
Activated Charcoal is thought to draw dirt, grime, grease, poisons and chemicals from your pores and has been proven to absorb thousands of time its own mass. It is considered to be an essential tool in fighting acne too.
Fuller’s Earth Clay is often paired with Activated Charcoal due to the skincare benefits it is renowned for. It is thought to absorb the excess oil that is drawn out by the Activated Charcoal, improve elasticity and complexion as well as being thought to fight acne.
Apple Cider Vinegar is widely used to remove toxins from the skin, reduce age spots, fight wrinkles and fight acne, spots and pimples. It was a no-brainer to include this in this particular soap.
Cocoa and Mango Butters are used to counter the possible drying effects of the other ingredients in the soap and as a bonus, they are also used in many anti-ageing products as they are considered to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
Avocado Oil is an essential ingredient in products designed to help fight acne as it contains vitamins A, D and E which are known to help protect skin from the damage caused by spots and acne. It is also thought to reduce the itching that can be caused by skin conditions.
Castor Oil is used in this soap to provide a rich and stable lather, resulting in a luxurious feel to you facial soap.
Tea Tree Oil is stage two of the soap. It provides antibacterial properties and is widely used to cleanse the skin and clean away the dirt and grime removed by the activated charcoal and is thought to help reduce scarring caused by spots and acne.
Vitamin E encourages the natural healing of the skin so if vital for any facial soap.
